Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Tupelo, MS 38801 (Mississippi nursing jobs)

Unit : Cardiac Stepdown Unit (16 beds)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : January 14, 2026 – End : April 12, 2026)

Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : 3-1-3 or 6 on / 8 off (provided at contract start)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910

Floating : Required to float to other stepdown units as needed

Weekend & Holiday : Must work Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and New Year's Eve or New Year's Day

EMR : Epic

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Mississippi RN license (Registered Nurse)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

NIHSS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac stepdown or stepdown RN experience

Ability to pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) tests with 80% or higher

Full scheduling flexibility (no block or self-scheduling)

Cannot have worked perm or per diem at NMMC in the past 12 months

Willingness to float to units within competency

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients

Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias

Administer medications and prescribed treatments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Float to other stepdown units as needed

Comply with hospital policies, including mask requirements for unvaccinated staff

Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
