Accounting Clerk

Job Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Clerk to join a Legal Firm team. This role is central to the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial data entry, reporting, and support for billing operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Bill4Time (B4T) and QuickBooks (QB), with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, the COO, and other team members. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity that requires the individual to be at the Alpharetta, Georgia office at least three days a week to collaborate with the team. The position has an opportunity to work from home once a person has established themselves in the organization, with the flexibility to still come into the office as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

Accounts Payable (AP) :

Receive, review, and process all AP invoices.

Enter AP invoices into B4T and QB accurately and promptly.

Billing Support :

Assist with client billing processes.

Calculate and enter monthly client credit card charges in QB.

Calculate and enter monthly client interest charges in B4T.

Credit Card Transactions :

Enter company credit card charges into B4T and QB.

Reporting & Month-End Tasks :

Create end-of-month Associate and Paralegal time entry reports for COO review and calculation.

Prepare the monthly AR aging report.

Problem-Solving & Support :

Research and resolve AP and AR inquiries from attorneys.

Qualifications :

Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role.

Proficiency in Bill4Time and QuickBooks.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Strong communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
