Auditor Retail Remote
The Retail Auditor is responsible for evaluating and reporting on compliance of policies and procedures at retail stores. The Retail Auditor role performs audits focused on retail store operations, compliance with Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures, as well as liquor store operations. This role displays skill in the use of auditing procedures and control techniques to meet audit objectives. The reviews and services are performed in accordance with professional and department standards.

Job Responsibilities :
- Perform audit procedures of corporate and / or majority owned stores at company store locations and headquarters.
- Prepare audit reports and working papers during the audit to ensure adequate documentation to support the audit findings.
- Review findings with the store director or person in charge, complete audit reporting and provide report to Management.
- Maintain understanding of retail programs and operational procedures including, but not limited to, store safe responsibilities, cash handling and cash control, store safety and security, product loss control, store office administration, anti-money launding, food and physical safety, liquor store operations and employee payroll maintenance.
- Communicates audit issues with the store director / person in charge or other operations support leadership.
- Escalates issues of urgent resolution noted in the store to the appropriate operations support or management upon identification.
- Prepares schedule of audits based on department goals and objectives and travels as needed. Informs the Supervisor of travel issues as identified.
- Prepares summary reports of results and presentations to operations and corporate leadership.
- Assist the Supervisor with questions, issues, and special projects.
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement.
- Participates in projects, including but not limited to, assistance to external auditors and SOX control testing.
- Attends internal and / or external training programs and performs self-training to become familiar with store operations areas as necessary.
- Participates in department meetings, retail operations calls / meetings, and assists with department initiatives as assigned.
- Maintains effective relationships with the team, department, and company.

Education / Certifications :
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, required.Experience :
Minimum 2 years of retail experience required.Minimum 1 year full-time work experience in auditing or related position preferred.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
General knowledge of store operations, bookkeeping, receiving and cashProficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and ExcelHighly motivated, confident and energetic, who can work with very little direct supervisionThorough investigation, prioritizing, and judgment skillsHigh degree of personal integrityStrong organizational and analytical skillsMaintain objectivity and be skeptical while performing audit proceduresPossess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of managementMust have a valid driver's license and a willingness to travel alone as audits necessitateWork Environment : Remote Role :
This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.Travel :
