Responsibilities : Developing, implementing, and maintaining content and records management policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Overseeing the classification, retention, and disposal of records in alignment with federal, state, and industry regulations. Managing document control systems and optimizing enterprise content management (ECM) platforms such as SharePoint or OpenText. Collaborating with IT and business units to implement digital transformation initiatives, including automation of document workflows and metadata management. Conducting audits and risk assessments to identify gaps in records management and implementing corrective actions. Providing training and guidance to employees on records retention best practices, document security, and compliance requirements. Supporting litigation and regulatory inquiries by managing eDiscovery requests and document retrieval. Staying up to date with emerging trends in records management, data privacy laws, and content governance best practices. Skills : Strong knowledge of records retention schedules, industry regulations (e.g., NARA, ISO 15489, GDPR), and compliance frameworks. Experience with ECM systems such as SharePoint, OpenText, or Documentum. Familiarity with data governance principles, eDiscovery processes, and digital records management best practices. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and training abilities, with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement. Education and Experience : A Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Library Science, or a related field. Over 5 years of experience in records management, content governance, or document control.
