About the Role
We're looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to take full ownership of testing advanced AR hardware and optical systems used in cutting-edge aerospace and defense training applications. In this role, you'll design, implement, and execute test plans that ensure our products meet rigorous aerospace standards, function flawlessly, and scale reliably.
You'll work closely with design engineers, partners, and vendors to validate performance, debug issues, and ensure mission-critical quality. This is a high-ownership role where you'll directly impact product success and company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite technical support for installation, configuration, and maintenance of AR hardware.
Design, develop, and own test plans for computer hardware, electronics, and related systems.
Build test equipment and fixtures, monitor test processes, and complete product validations.
Define test tool requirements, record results, and communicate findings to engineering teams.
Lead hardware validation, functional and electrical verification, and failure analysis.
Partner with engineering teams to design test interfaces across all products.
Support technicians with testing tasks and debugging manufacturing issues.
Collaborate with external labs and suppliers on development and cost requirements.
Travel up to 10%.
What Were Looking For
5+ years of experience in hardware / electronics test engineering (preferably aerospace).
Strong electrical engineering background ; ability to write and own test plans.
Experience with mechanical and optical systems (preferred).
Hands-on expertise with hardware test equipment (multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
Proficiency with Linux, Python, and C++ .
Bachelors degree or higher in a STEM field .
Independent thinker who thrives in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment.
Must be able to work onsite in Louisville, CO (5 days / week) .
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
