This unit cares for patients who are antepartum, during labor and delivery, and post partum.\n\nThere are 2 operating rooms and a recovery room on the floor. The OR suites are staffed by Family Birth Center and Surgical Technologists. All rooms are equipped with an emergency call system to the NICU. - Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various other nursing interventions\n
- Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care\n
- Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care\n
- Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise\n\nQualifications\n\nGraduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.\n\nCurrently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and / or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
