Voter Registration Clerk
The Voter Registration Clerk provides registration services to eligible citizens who maintain residency in Maricopa County so they may readily express their preferences through the electoral process. Duties include data entry, printing, scanning, filing, utilizing advanced computer software applications, and other various administrative tasks. In addition, this position may assist with other elections-related duties such as petition processing, provisional ballot processing, and signature verifications.

The Voter Registration Division of the Maricopa County Recorder's Office is responsible for voter registration and maintenance of the voter rolls. Maricopa County has over 2.6 million active registered voters. It is our mission to maintain the integrity of the voter rolls in accordance with federal and state law while serving the needs of new and existing registered voters.

One (1) year of clerical experience, including six (6) months of data entry experience
High School diploma or GED
Must be registered or eligible to register to vote in Arizona
Must pass a background check
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
Using a secure computer network, enters voter data, conducts data audits, and makes requested modifications to voter registration records within the voter registration database
Confirms voter eligibility for the processing of provisional ballots
Reviews voter records and verifies signatures for recall, initiative, referendum and nomination petitions
Assists other departments that support elections
May include extensive mandatory overtime during an election
Must be able to lift 20 lbs
Must be able to work irregular hours and shifts based on departmental needs
