Job description

This position will report directly to the Pricebook Manager.

The Pricebook coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activities and results of those activities relating to the operation of the company's pricebook database. This will include delivering accurate product set-up, price changes, and in-store promotions entered through the system for retail operations. They will research and resolve accounting and store inquiries pertaining to pricebook. The Pricebook Coordinator will maintain all pricebook material and records and communicate all applicable changes. They will interact daily with vendors and company team members, including but not limited to store management, merchandising, and accounting. The Pricebook Coordinator must always uphold a positive attitude with excellent communication skills.

Some areas of responsibility include :

  • Accurately maintain the pricebook database.
  • Process vendor files daily for new items, discontinuation of non-active items, cost changes, and retail changes.
  • Correct and import electronic invoice files, and communicate to various internal and external customers as needed to resolve issues.
  • Process all pricebook changes and communicate to all necessary team members.
  • Maintain accurate authorizations of stores to merchandise vendors.
  • Research and correct pricebook issues that come through the company ticketing system.
  • Keep management informed of progress and problems.
  • Ensure minimal disruption of ongoing pricebook data processing through effective coordination.
  • Maintain appropriate expertise to ensure effective service levels.
  • Assure all items are priced within guidelines established.
  • Periodically deauthorize / discontinue unused items.
  • Perform other various duties / projects as assigned.

Personal qualifications and attributes necessary for successful performance in this role include :

  • Bachelor degree in business, accounting or merchandising is preferred
  • Knowledge of office equipment utilization to perform various job functions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of PDI / Enterprise Pricebook preferred
  • Basic understanding of pricing and inventory
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required
