Qualifications
Required Education :
Master’s degree in a mental health specialty (e.g., Master of Social Work, Master of Mental Health, Master of Mental Health Counseling, or Master of Marriage and Family Therapy) from an accredited universityRequired Experience :

Job Summary :
Assesses and treats individuals with mental, emotional, and / or substance abuse problemsConducts patient / client assessments independently; evaluates patients’ / clients’ psycho-social needsDetermines appropriate treatment types and methodsDevelops, implements, and modifies treatment plansImplements intervention methodologiesCounsels / coaches patients / clients and families regarding therapies and how to manage ongoing health conditionsCoordinates and / or provides therapy to help patients / clients make positive behavior changesPerforms interventions according to treatment plans and organizational policiesEnsures treatment notes are recorded in patients’ / clients’ medical charts in accordance with industry standards and organizational policiesMakes referrals to case managersCoordinates and / or refers families to psychosocial community support services and resourcesSupports staff members and provides direction to clinical team for implementing treatment plansFurthers own education and implements community educational programsMay travel to patients’ / clients’ homes to render servicesPerforms miscellaneous dutiesReports To :
