Sr Software Dev Engineer, Device OS

This Job is for a most challenging complex high volume and large scale project having all possible AWS servicesIntegrations involved CI / CD pipeline creation and management CDK development Cloud application development deployment across number of AWS regions Tools development for monitoring and operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities

The Engineer in this job is expected to make the design (High level and Low level) decisions own end to end (depth) for specific set of features while having breadth on rest of the features and provide technical guidance for the Junior members in the team.

A day in the life

1. Feature development

2. Peer Code and design review

3. Interact with internal and external stakeholders (Dev and QA) on clarifying the requirements resolving the dependencies etc.

4. Oncall rotation

About the team

Team is working on a most business critical high visibility large scale & high device volume project involving embedded development (Device side) Cloud development (AWS services API CDK Pipelines Container management) etc.

• 8 years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 7 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 7 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
• 5 Years of working experience in Cloud development handling large scale deployment.
• 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
• 7 years of leading development of applications backed by AWS services or using other cloud based technologies and services experience
• 5 years of programming in Java C Python or related language experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
