Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll help architect, build, and scale services that serve millions of users, integrate seamlessly with data pipelines, and support cloud infrastructure that enables our mission.
What You'll Do
- Design and build backend API services in Go that scale to millions of users.
- Architect and improve infrastructure to support global product launches.
- Partner with data operations to integrate pipelines into backend systems.
- Work closely with the product team to ensure capabilities match customer requirements
- Contribute to cloud infrastructure and reliability engineering.
- Lead by exampleraising the bar on developer experience and team practices.
- Deliver features that empower customers and advance First Street's mission.

What you'll need
Deep experience in backend API development (with knowledge in GraphQL)Experience in systems integrationExperience work with databases, either in Postgres or MySQL, including : debugging, optimizations, and queriesBachelor's degree or relevant experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information SystemsWhat will make you stand out
Experience building and maintaining automated infrastructureExperience in an environment that adheres to SOC II and ISO 27001 Compliance StandardsOur anticipated US base salary compensation range for this role is $100,000-$180,000 plus competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as work location as well as additional factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and relevant education.
