About Us :

  • We are currently seeking responsible, skilled, and enthusiastic Lifeguards to join our camp team this summer!

Position Overview :

  • As a Lifeguard at Red Barn Ranch, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all campers and staff in and around the water.
  • You will monitor swimming activities, enforce safety rules, provide emergency response when necessary, and assist with general camp operations.
  • You must be vigilant, approachable, and ready to provide excellent customer service while prioritizing safety at all times.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor swimming areas to ensure a safe environment for all campers.
  • Enforce water safety rules and regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies quickly and effectively.
  • Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lifeguard station.
  • Assist with camper instruction during water-based activities (e.g., swimming lessons, water games).
  • Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure a smooth and fun camp experience.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

    • Qualifications :

  • Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before camp starts).
  • Experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues if necessary.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with campers and staff.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Passion for working with children and creating a positive camp experience.
  • Must be available for the full summer camp season.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to swim and perform water rescues.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to [Weight] lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

    • Compensation :

  • Camp Staff are paid on a bi-weekly basis and pay would range from $400-600 per week Expected schedule is 9am-4pm M-F   Powered by JazzHR
