POSITION SUMMARY :

The Oral Surgeon provides specialized dental and surgical services to patients within the clinic, focusing on oral and maxillofacial surgery. This role aims to enhance the comprehensive dental care provided by the clinic and supports the overall dental health goals of the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Perform complex oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures including

extractions, dental implants, biopsies, and soft and hard tissue surgeries.

Provide consultations and referrals for patients requiring specialized oral

surgical care beyond the scope of general dentistry.

Collaborate with other dental professionals and medical staff in planning and

delivering integrated healthcare services.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA

regulations regarding patient confidentiality.

Follow clinic and infection control protocols, OSHA and CDPH guidelines

Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and

guidelines related to oral surgery.

Assist in the training and supervision of dental staff regarding oral surgery

techniques and patient care protocols.

Support the Dental Director in ensuring effective communication and

coordination within the dental department.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES :

D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited dental school.

Current state dental license (specify state).

Board certification or eligibility for certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Evidence of current DEA registration.

Oral Conscious Sedation / Nitrous Oxide Sedation Certifications

CPR certification (may be obtained after hiring but must be maintained

thereafter).

At least three years of clinical experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

preferred.

Previous experience in a community health clinic or similar setting desirable.

The schedule is at least 2 days a week with 10 hour days

Pay : $4,000.00 per day
