Position Summary :
Primary responsibility of the Financial Analyst position is to perform quantitative analysis of varying reports, and financial records required across multiple departments and functions to evaluate whether budget objectives are met, measure trends and identify areas of improvement the leadership teams may use strategically for business management decisions.
Salaried : Full-time annual salary $75,000 - $90,000 dependent upon experience, and qualifications.
Travel Requirements : Overnight travel is rarely required.
Essential Functions :
- Consistently demonstrate commitment and support for the Sterling vision, mission, policies, and procedures.
- Performs work in compliance with work instructions and policies as outlined by management.
- Analyzes past and present financial data of organization and estimates future revenues and expenditures, applying principles of finance.
- Develop quarterly financial forecasting tool with help from department head.
- Runs and documents financial analysis projects.
- Aids organization with financial functions, which may include assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control.
- Evaluates and analyzes capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc.
- Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses.
- Documents revenues and expenditures forecasted and submits to management with analysis.
- Develops financial / accounting concepts for financial planning and control.
- Assists in preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.
- Advises management on matters, such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
- Interprets budgets to management.
- May assist in financial analysis of legislative projects to develop capital improvement budget.
- May act as consultant to management on financial policies, procedures, and applications.
- Will foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, customer-centricity, and compliance.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to support departmental needs and overall business goals.
- Cross train within the team, and across other departments, to provide backup support throughout the department.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related fields is required.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.A minimum of 2 years' previous analyst experience is required.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced Excel knowledge is required.Proficiency with tools such as Power BI and Microsoft NAV is a plus.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.Benefits include :
