Gas Meter Inspector

JOB TYPE : This position will be 1099.
LOCATION : Evansville, Indiana.
COMPENSATION : Total compensation averages out to $17.50 / hr. Expect to work M-F, 8 hours a day
POSITION SUMMARY : The Gas Meter Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections and performing basic remediation of above-ground gas meters and associated piping exposed to atmospheric conditions. The role ensures compliance with state, federal, and company regulations, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and real-time documentation using company-approved platforms. This position requires fieldwork and demands strict adherence to operator qualification (OQ) standards. Paxon will provide support to candidates in obtaining the necessary OQs both pre-hire and post-hire to ensure compliance and long-term success.

Inspect high-risk areas including soil-to-air interfaces, pipe supports, splash zones, and disbonded coatings.
