We are looking for a Technology Solutions Architect Specialist to strengthen our Engineering Center of Excellence. This exciting role supports our sales organization by developing innovative electronic security solutions tailored to client needs. Working closely with sales leadership, the Specialist will play a key role in shaping strategy, design, and technology support for regional and national teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide expert knowledge to enhance customer discussions on electronic security solutions.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between sales teams, local and regional field resources, and the pre / post-sales engineering department.
- Serve as a systems integration and field applications expert for the sales organization.
- Mentor sales, costing, engineering, and field implementation teams on technology.
- Conduct customer consultations, presentations, and demonstrations of technologies tailored to client needs.
- Participate in Securitas events and external tradeshows, including GSX, ISC, NRF, RILA, and more.
Additional Responsibilities :
Conduct detailed field surveys for design development and solution estimation.Value engineer solutions that meet customer needs and support sales operations.Collaborate with costing & estimating engineers to develop bills of materials and scope of work.Assist in preparing sales proposals by providing relevant technical information and ensuring technical accuracy.Engage with product management regarding product defects and suggest improvements based on customer feedback.Support field teams by selecting standard technologies for installations and assisting with installation design.Contribute insights for advanced planning when customers are migrating to new technologies, including technology selection and project planning.Support sales teams with technology-related questions and scope understanding to ensure successful job completion and specifications.Qualifications and Education :
6+ years of experience in Electronic Security.5+ years of experience in designing Electronic Security systems including IDS, ACS, CCTV / VMS, Visitor Management Systems, and Intercom Systems.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and / or experience.A valid state driver’s license without restrictions.In-depth knowledge of integrated electronic security solutions and design.Basic knowledge of Fire Alarm & Life Safety Code.Working knowledge of computer systems and networking.Ability to read and interpret electronic security specifications and perform equipment counts.Clear and professional communicator, able to engage effectively with internal teams and clients.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.Preferred Skills :
Experience with consultative sales processes.Field Applications experience is advantageous.Systems Integration experience preferred.Familiarity with Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) and Global Security Operations Centers (GSOC).Experience with tools like Bluebeam and Visio.Knowledge of high-security credentials such as iClass / DESFire & Personal Identity Verification (PIV / FICAM).Understanding or certification in UL (681 & 2050) & high security applications.Knowledge of structured cabling and EIA / TIA-568 standards.Understanding of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) code and NICET Certification is a plus.Additional Notes :
