Manager of Instructional Coaching
This position provides leadership and training for their team to support the whole child, whole family approach, deepen reflective practice, and build and apply data utilization expertise. The Manager will partner with teams across the organization to implement the organizations programs, projects, and initiatives with integrity and accountability. The Instructional Coaching Manager is a highly effective leader who supervises a team of Coaches to develop their ability to effectively provide embedded professional development through planning, coaching, goal setting, and feedback to increase teacher and child outcomes.
In this role, you will serve as an instructional coach as well as manage 2 other instructional coaches. In general, we expect your time will be split as follows : 80% coaching and Professional Development support; 20% management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Child Outcome Management
- Oversees the development and implementation of programs and strategies through curriculum, assessment, and data utilization; reviews coaching strategies and process to ensure consistent outcomes for children.
- Coaches assigned classroom to improve Teacher practices and child outcomes.
- Demonstrates effective practices and provides ongoing training and coaching to coaches and teachers on site that is directly responsive to individual teacher needs and questions related to research and best practices in early childhood education.
- Analyzes data with Coaches, Data Manager, and leaders regularly to maximize student performance and ensure student growth.
- Utilizes the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) to provide an ongoing measure of the teacher-child interactions for purposes of professional development; uses common metric and vocabulary of CLASS to describe various aspects of interaction across three dimensions of quality including : emotional support, classroom organization, and instructional support.
- Ensures that ethnic and cultural backgrounds are appropriately recognized and integrated into the curriculum, classrooms, programs, and services; provides opportunities for cultural competency development activities.
- Ensures systematic and integrated comprehensive program services to ensure children are school ready as defined in the school readiness goals and developmental framework.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to discuss children's progress and ensure their individual and group needs.
- Assists Professional Development team in onboarding content for Teachers across Ed Services.
Program & Curriculum Compliance
Ensures program operations and compliance with all applicable quality standards including, Educare Core Competencies, as well as state and local regulations for classroom instruction and environments.Monitors compliance of regulations and works with internal stakeholders to implement changes to compliance standards.Supports in the planning of DLL activities, I Love to Read month, and other home school connections to drive school readiness work through the whole family, whole child approach.Supports Professional Development Manager and Specialist in planning and leading appropriate professional development for all staff across Education Services at Clayton Early Learning.Participate in Data Dialogue planning with Data Manager to ensure teachers are using data to drive instruction : facilitate data debriefs with teachers and coaches.Team Management and Leadership -20%
Develops and provides ongoing quality improvement opportunities for their team and cultivates a coaching relationship that advances best practice skills and competencies.Develops coaching cycle annually along with plans for Teacher Embedded PD that includes input from Directors, Managers, and Coaches.Coaches internal team to deliver appropriate curriculum using a research-based coaching model that emphasizes the analysis and application of child and program quality data to improve the delivery of instruction and other services to achieve targeted child and program outcomes.Oversees the facilitation of weekly Team planning meetings with coaches to drive more intentionally focused coaching outcomes.Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels including employees, students, families, and visitors.Collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide opportunities for professional growth and classroom training; disseminates pertinent training program information and materials to their team.Implements and monitors policies and procedures for the department; supports with enforcing guidelines and standards for all processes and procedures.Engages their team in continuous improvement / reflective inquiry through a formal coaching cycle, and equips staff to pursue professional development and individual education goals as delineated on their professional development plans.Supports the function with all supervisory responsibilities including hiring, professional development, training, performance management, and terminations for employees within function.Oversees and develops team to build their expertise; provides support and guidance on their activities and workflow.Oversees the development of new systems based on knowledge of trends, best practices, and changes within the industry and discipline.Demonstrates an understanding of and implements federal, licensing, and organizational guidelines, performance standards as well as state and local regulations; manages, coordinates, tracks, monitors, and maintains record keeping systems in compliance with these requirements.What You Must Have
Education : Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field required. Masters Degree preferred.Experience : 3+ years of experience in administration or coaching experience in an early childhood setting.Skills :Strong Communication skills in both verbal and written capacityStrong leadership skillsKnowledge of early childhood educationProficiency in Microsoft Office suite productsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularlyBackground Check : Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including CBI / FBI fingerprinting.
