About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Iowa. Starting on Oct 27, 2025, this role offers 12-hour shifts from 12pm to 12am, three times per week, with every third weekend required and the potential for a fourth shift if desired. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality emergency care in a dynamic clinical setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

Deliver direct patient care in the emergency department

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute medical conditions

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Document clinical encounters accurately and in a timely manner

Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards

Additional Information

Iowa state license required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required

Board certifications accepted : Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC), Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)

Previous emergency medicine experience preferred
