Contract Supply Chain Associate Jr.

Logistics Coordinator

Plan, schedule, and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer and company requirements.

Select and manage carriers, negotiate freight rates, and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.

Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery; proactively communicate delays or issues.

Maintain accurate transportation and logistics records in systems such as TMS (Transportation Management System) or ERP software.

Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Analyze transportation costs and performance data to identify savings opportunities and improve efficiency.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations (DOT, FMCSA, etc.).

Manage freight claims, discrepancies, and carrier performance issues.

Support sustainability initiatives by optimizing routing and reducing transportation emissions.

Prepare regular transportation and logistics reports for management.

Strong knowledge of domestic and / or international freight operations.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.

Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards for transportation.

3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.

Experience with TMS or logistics software preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
