Job descriptionPrepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts. Participates in continuous improvement of accounting process and procedures. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Manage timely Month End Close Process. Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and statement of cash flows. Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts. Maintains and balances and automated consolidation system by inputting data. Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports. Sales and payroll tax filing and compliance in Avalara. Review expense reports and process them within the expense platform by approving and importing into accounting system. Prepare monthly commissions for in house sales staff and outside representatives. Maintain and update accurate record of inventory in the financial system. Assist with payroll administration duties, including payroll journal entry Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices. Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field is required. 2+ years of experience in General Accounting Knowledge of general financial accounting. Proficient with Microsoft Office Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting. Experience in A2000 ERP is preferred but not required. Experience in Avalara is preferred but not required. Experience with general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation is essential. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members.
