Commercial Construction Estimator

Overview

Construction Estimator to support projects involving medical and industrial radiation shielding. The role collaborates with finance, procurement, design, engineers, and the sales team to produce accurate and timely construction estimates from conceptual through full development, aligned with the company mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and project documents for medical and industrial projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and bid proposals for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Prepare estimates at different levels of completion (conceptual, schematic, design development, construction drawings, etc.).
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with design team, project managers, engineers, architects, physicists, and clients to develop accurate and cost-effective budgets.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs without sacrificing quality or safety.
• Track project budgets and maintain a historical database of commercial construction costs.
• Stay current on market trends, construction materials, labor rates, and industry regulations.
• Present final bids and estimates to leadership and participate in client bid reviews.
• Provide timely, detailed responses to support winning bids and maintain customer satisfaction.
