Edenbrook Yeadon part of the Eden Senior Care Network, a skilled nursing facility is seeking for a Transportation Driver for our wonderful skilled nursing facility!
Position : Transportation Driver (Full-Time)
Schedule : Monday – Friday
Hours per Week : 40 hours
Hourly Rate : $15.00 per hour
- Route Coverage : Delaware and Philadelphia Counties
Job Responsibilities :
Reviews appointments with the Transportation Coordinator each morning / week to determine the schedule.Prepares residents for transport, ensuring personal cleanliness and weather-appropriate clothing.Gathers all necessary paperwork and documentation prior to each appointment.Safely assists residents into and out of the transport van using a wheelchair lift.Accompanies residents to appointments and ensures their comfort and safety throughout transport.Communicates hospital, doctor, or laboratory instructions accurately to the Nursing Staff.Maintains responsibility for the care, safety, and well-being of all residents during transport.Reports any transportation or resident concerns promptly to the Transportation Coordinator or appropriate personnel.Upholds resident rights by maintaining strict confidentiality, advocating for residents, ensuring their privacy, and responding to requests for information with professionalism.Qualifications :
Must be at least 21 years of age.Ability to read and follow written directions.Strong communication skills and ability to interact with residents and coworkers in a friendly, respectful manner.Must be able to tactfully work with staff, residents, families, visitors, and members of the public.Hold a current, valid driver’s license with less than 15 points on the Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).Ability to lift and transfer residents into and out of the transport van using a wheelchair lift safely.Able to receive, understand, and relay detailed instructions from hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
