About the role : As an engineering manager in the Platform Area, you will lead one of our teams in supporting the engineering needs of the rest of Duolingo.

Design Accelerator, Design Tools

This team is responsible for making Duolingo an engaging and animated character-focused experience. The team builds tools and uses new technology to create content and experiences used across the app, from generated videos for Monetization to images and games for Learning.

As the Engineering Manager you will craft and implement a vision for evaluating new technology, de-risking and scaling for multiple projects, collaborating with product partners and engineering teams across the company.

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team of tooling, AI, and graphics experts to build visual, animated and interactive content.
• Deliver and maintain a long term roadmap for work within the team and coordinate that planning with product engineering throughout the company.
• Leverage AI to help drive technical projects and provide innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Guide, prioritize, and communicate the team's quarterly objectives and accomplishments to peer leaders and the broader engineering organization.
• Mentor engineers and help cultivate their career aspirations.

Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations. Your recruiter can share more details about the range for a specific level during the hiring process. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.

Salary Range : $177,700 $240,400 USD
