Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,990 - $2,130 per week ER RN Job Details Job Title : Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Location : Schenectady, NY 12308 (New York healthcare jobs) Facility : 70-bed Emergency Department (ED) Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am, 30-minute unpaid break) Schedule : 36 hours per week, every other weekend required, no on-call Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 18 / 2025 – End : 2 / 14 / 2026) Employment Type : Travel nursing assignment Float Requirement : Yes, including ED Observation Unit Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain prior to start Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience required (2 years preferred) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross) required TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred CPI certification preferred Prior travel nurse experience preferred, but not required Ability to float to other units within competency Compliance documentation due 7 days before start date ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ED setting Perform clinical tasks such as drips, infusions, phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, medication administration, and patient transport Care for diverse patient populations : medical, surgical, pediatric, psychiatric, and trauma cases Float as needed to the ED Observation Unit and other hospital units Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to stabilize and treat patients with urgent and chronic conditions Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Cerner EMR Follow facility policies, including dress code and infection control standards Join our healthcare team in Schenectady, NY and take the next step in your emergency nursing career.
