As an Allied Universal Security Officer you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment at a chemical or petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points conducting routine patrols and providing exceptional customer service while remaining highly visible. What You'll Do :

Monitor and control access to the location verifying credentials of personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.

Provide customer service by assisting employees contractors and visitors with security-related inquiries and directions.

Document and report any security-related incidents hazards or unusual occurrences to Allied Universal management and site contacts as required.

Support emergency response activities when appropriate such as assisting with evacuations or coordinating with first responders.

Maintain awareness of the unique risks and requirements associated with chemical and petrochemical locations while carrying out assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements :

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
