Job Description

We're looking for Medical Assistants who are excited to support the mission and goals of Ridgecrest Regional Hospital while delivering excellent patient-centered care. In this role, you'll help ensure efficient patient flow during scheduled clinics, support both insured and uninsured populations, and provide excellent service in a team-based environment. This role includes joint planning and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams, and may occasionally rotate to other departments. You'll contribute to creating a respectful, compassionate, and inclusive space for all.

Key Responsibilities

Support effective and efficient patient flow through clinic operations

Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, staff, and the community

Comply with all RRH standards, policies, and relevant laws (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)

Assist patients facing barriers to care, including language, income, or cultural challenges

Work collaboratively across departments as needed

Maintain professionalism and uphold patient dignity and confidentiality

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant program, CNA course, or equivalent training preferred

Experience in healthcare as a Medical Assistant

Knowledge of basic office and clerical functions, computer systems, and PC software

BLS certification required and maintained

Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with patients, families, and coworkers

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Demonstrated maturity and careful judgment
