AdventHealth Heart of Florida is a licensed 193-bed acute care hospital, coupled with outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, that has been serving the community for over 50 years.

The role you'll contribute :

At AdventHealth , our primary customers are patients and families. Our partners are physicians and our team members are all employees of AdventHealth . The Patient Care Tech works under supervision of the professional nurse, assisting in performing specific duties and activities of daily living in caring for age specific groups identified in the position responsibilities. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you'll bring to the team :

Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.

Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record

Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy.

Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.

Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies

Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.

Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

High School Grad or Equiv

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
