About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 8 weeks

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : 2 years of strong PCU experience

License : Valid State License required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS required; NIH preferred

Must-Have :

• Strong PCU experience
• EKG exam must be passed during orientation
• IV starts and telemetry skills

Description :

Flu vaccine required when flu season begins.

RTO limited to a maximum of 5 days, with restrictions over Christmas and New Year.

Must be available to work 3 out of 4 holidays.

Experience with fresh post-operative kidney transplants and complex cases is essential.

This unit requires the ability to manage patients with ongoing interventions and assessments every 2 hours, not to exceed 8 occurrences.

Experience with pulmonary hypertension therapy and the use of invasive hemodynamic devices is necessary.

Special skills include IV management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.

Knowledge of special equipment such as Swan Ganz and transvenous pacemakers is preferred.

Experience in administering blood products, central line care, and managing chest tubes is necessary.

The candidate may float within the hospital as required.

Modules are required but will vary by specialty and will be self-reported.

Previous charge experience is a plus.

Patient ratios and other unit details will vary.

Candidates must be flexible to ensure patient care and safety.
