We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr. Director of Sales to lead our Field sales business Division. This role is responsible for driving business development initiatives, managing key accounts, and leading a team of sales professionals to achieve revenue targets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account relationship management, sales, a proven track record of business growth, and exceptional leadership skills.
Additionally, the Director of Sales will personally manage select key accounts, foster strong cross-functional collaboration within the organization, and utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Partner with leadership to develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the brand and generate leads.
Account Management
- Oversee the management of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Personally manage select key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and owning those relationships.
- Develop and implement account management strategies to maximize customer lifetime value.
- Address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively to maintain strong client relationships.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure alignment with their needs and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance the skills and performance of the sales team.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments, including operations, sales enablement, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with product development teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product enhancements.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to integrate sales strategies with broader company goals.
CRM Utilization
- Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to manage sales activities, track performance, and maintain detailed records of client interactions.
- Leverage CRM data to analyze sales trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and make informed decisions.
- Ensure the sales team is proficient in using CRM tools and adheres to best practices for data management and reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the fleet business or automotive industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of the fleet business landscape, including industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and data management.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with team, clients and attend industry events.
