The Manufacturing Process Engineer will provide manufacturing and product expertise to review prints and configurations prior to release. This role involves collaborating with production supervisors to identify and implement continuous improvement (CI) activities, optimize workflows, and troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges. This role will also partner with the Manufacturing Process Engineering Supervisor to support the planning and installation of capital equipment, ensuring smooth integration into the production process.

Job Duties

  • Manufacturing review of product prior to release :

Provide consultation to the manufacturing and engineering team to improve manufacturability, reduce cycle times and improve manufacturing flow.

  • Review engineering prints, schematics and configurations, looking at manufacturing capabilities and proper configurations.
  • Setup proper work order routings and estimate manufacturing times to ensure correct manufacturing workflows.
  • Responsible for resolving Manufacturing issues through collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams to meet internal and external specifications.
  • Help initiate and complete CAPA’s, ECO’s and Deviations.
  • Initiate, lead, and implement continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality delivery and profitability.
  • Find, approve, and manage outsource products and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Q ualification Requirements

  • BS or equivalent experience in Engineering field.
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience doing similar tasks listed above
  • Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) and obtain a passport.
  • To meet the requirements for government contract work and work in a restricted facility, candidates must adhere to specific criteria set by federal regulations. This includes : 1) a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized); 2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or 3) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.
  • Skill Requirements

  • Experience with GD&T
  • Proficient with manufacturing planning software.
  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills.
  • Lead problem solving activities.
  • Ability to think on your feet and make decisions based on information at hand.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to lift and / or carry 45 lbs.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation / keyboard.
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
  • The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion and kneeling.
