Job Description : Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry, and will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to : accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

Perform account reconciliations and maintain detailed supporting documentation.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.

Coordinate and assist with the annual audit and quarterly reviews.

Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes.

Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience

Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
