In this role, you will design a scalable reading program, lead tech-enhanced workshops, and collaborate with engineers to refine tools powering our model. Success is defined by measurable reading gains, engaged students, and actionable input to improve our AI-enhanced curriculum.

What You Will Be Doing
Deliver high-impact reading workshops that develop foundational skills in phonics, comprehension, and fluency using our adaptive technology platformDesign data-driven motivational frameworks that boost engagement through personalized literacy milestones and achievement pathwaysAnalyze real-time student progress metrics to refine instruction and extract actionable insights for program improvementCollaborate with the engineering team to evaluate and enhance AI literacy tools based on classroom resultsDevelop scalable content modules that create personalized reading pathways for diverse learners across multiple campusesWhat You Won't Be Doing
Implementing standardized, one-size-fits-all curricula that ignores individual student needs or performance dataSpending hours on administrative overhead, traditional lesson planning, or manual gradingManaging overcrowded classrooms with inadequate technological resourcesDedicating valuable instructional time to behavior management rather than focused literacy developmentTeaching in isolation without direct input into program development or product enhancementLiteracy Coordinator Key Responsibilities
Develop and scale an AI-enhanced reading program that enables early elementary students to achieve grade-level proficiency and cultivate a lifelong love of reading across multiple Alpha School campuses.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)Minimum 2 years of experience delivering effective small-group reading interventions to early elementary studentsDemonstrated ability to assess reading levels, strategically group students, and design differentiated instruction without reliance on pre-written curriculaProficiency with AI / adaptive learning platforms and responsive instructional adaptation based on real-time student performance dataLegal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipCommitment to work on-site at one of our campuses : Tampa, FL; Austin, TX; Plano, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Spotswood, NJ or Dorado, Puerto RicoWorking with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD / hour, which equates to $100,000 USD / year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
