Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,238 per week in Prescott, AZ

Job Title : Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Intensive Care Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS Must-Have : - Good EKG reading skills - Experience with IABP and Prismaflex CRRT preferred - Ability to interpret ABGs - Experience in weaning / troubleshooting ventilators Description : This position requires a self-scheduling system with some flexibility. Shifts are made 4 weeks in advance and staff may request shifts or trades. Nurses must float as needed within the critical care service line. Weekend requirements include 4 weekend shifts per pay period. Holidays will be required but not all holidays are mandatory. If census is low, staff may be placed on call as needed. Nurses will monitor telemetry strips and are responsible for reading their own strips. Critical care drips include pressors, sedation, and anti-arrhythmics. Nurses will manage patients with a variety of diagnoses including post-surgical cases, cardiac surgery, and respiratory failure. The unit has an established nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity / staffing levels. Intensivists and hospitalists are available for support. Registered nurses are required to have experience with chest tubes, arterial lines, and other critical care procedures. Candidates will be expected to take and pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing. All applicants must comply with radius rules regarding previous employment. Professional scrubs are required in any color except camouflage.
