Known for its collaborative culture, absence of billable-hour pressure, and genuine commitment to impact work, the firm represents leading non-profit developers, housing authorities, CDFIs, syndicators, impact funds, and mission-aligned for-profit sponsors in some of the most innovative and high-volume affordable and supportive housing transactions in New York.
Due to sustained growth and a robust pipeline of 4% and 9% LIHTC, tax-exempt bond, HPD / HDC, NYS HCR, and supportive housing deals, they have exclusively retained us to identify an Affordable Housing Attorney at any experience level (from 2024 graduates through 10+ years).
This search is truly open to all levels — they will hire multiple attorneys if the right people apply.
Role & Responsibilities
- Structure, document, and close complex affordable housing transactions involving LIHTC (4% & 9%), tax-exempt bonds, HOME, HTF, HPD / HDC subsidy layers, Section 8, Section 202 / 811, Resyndication, Year-15 exits, and preservation deals
- Draft and negotiate partnership / LLC agreements, loan documents, regulatory agreements, ground leases, and real estate closing deliverables
- Conduct due diligence, title / survey review, and zoning analysis
- Advise non-profit boards on governance and 501(c)(3) compliance
- Collaborate with the firm's tax, corporate, and real estate groups on interdisciplinary matters
Ideal Candidates
