About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team in Walled Lake, Michigan. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional who is committed to supporting students’ communication, language development, and academic success. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders for students across designated grade levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to determine speech-language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility decisions.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for home carryover.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Current Michigan SLP License and / or Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Certification (or ability to obtain).Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates considered.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Experience in a school setting is a plus.Benefits
