Assistant Director Of Rooms
The Assistant Director Of Rooms is an Assistant Division Head position that oversees departments in the Rooms Division. Recent Housekeeping and Guest Services experience required with the ability to lead teams and make process improvements. Responsibilities include acting as the manager on duty in the hotel to resolve guest concerns, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, and accommodating special requests whenever possible. This role will monitor employee activities to ensure standards are being met and staff members are supported.
What you will do :
- Ensures thorough communications and follow-up on any problems, guest or employee requests, or special requirements, and hotel initiatives. Interviews and trains the staff. Conducts performance evaluations and disciplinary action when needed.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
- Responsible for processing payroll and adhering to budgeted labor standards.
- Assures that financial goals are being met. Monitors and controls labor expenses, and supplies / equipment expenses.
- The ability to interview and select job applicants as well as effectively supervise, discipline, mentor and give performance evaluations for employees and convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale.
- Acts as the senior manager in the Rooms Division in the absence of the Director. Assists the Director of Rooms in forecasting and budgeting of revenues and expenses for all departments in the Rooms Division.
What you bring :
Minimum 5 years of management experience in Rooms Division, 2-3 years experience in Housekeeping and Guest Services, previous Department Head experience preferred.Must have working knowledge of computers and systems, previous hotSOS, REX, ADP and Birchstreet experience preferred.A proven record of scheduling staff and completing payroll records and reports in accordance with budgeted guidelines.Thorough knowledge of luxury resort standards preferred.Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the United States. Prefer bilingual in Spanish.What we offer :
