Job Title : Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to expertly operate mills and lathes, perform setups, changeovers, and teardowns, and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. You will be responsible for loading and unloading parts into machines and utilizing micrometers and calipers for quality checks. The role also involves the use of hand and power tools and requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate mills and lathes efficiently.
• Perform setups, changeovers, and teardowns on machinery.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately.
• Load and unload machines with parts.
• Conduct quality checks using micrometers and calipers.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Lift and handle items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled job shop environment, Monday through Friday, from 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM. Enjoy a setting that supports both productivity and comfort.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
