Location : Portland, OR 97239 (Oregon healthcare jobs)

Facility : Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated Teaching Hospital

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : Every Tuesday, beginning November 11, 2025

End Date : February 10, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shifts : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (17 : 00–05 : 30 or 19 : 00–07 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratios : 1 : 3-4

Weekend Requirement : Yes

Floating : Within hospital

Charting System : EPIC

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1930 - $2070

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oregon or compact state; pending license accepted with application submitted)

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

At least 1 year of travel nursing experience (required if recent EPIC charting experience)

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS (TNCC preferred)

EPIC charting experience required

Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred

Strong references required

No background or license hits accepted

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and coordinate emergency interventions in a fast-paced Emergency Department

Perform procedures and treatments including moderate / deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&C, sexual assault exams, CPR, and imminent deliveries

Deliver care for trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychological emergencies, sepsis, and complex medical cases

Administer blood products; manage central lines, chest tubes, IV vasopressors, and ventilated patients

Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias

Perform triage and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams : respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and more

Float to other units within the hospital as needed
