CAD Drafter

AG Consulting Engineering, PC a design, engineering and construction management firm headquartered in Manhattan is looking for an CAD & Drafting Specialist to support our client’s Design and Construction group in Albany, New York. The position will collaborate closely with Clients’ Design and Construction group and support the IT group. Location : Position will be located at the offices in downtown Albany, New York. Role :

• Function as the Design and Construction (D&C) Technical Representative with the IT group.
• Interact with the D&C staff to understand issues and determine appropriate path for resolution of requests.
• Address IT – Related issues that do not require the services of the IT group.
• Submit appropriate ticket requests on behalf of the D&C group to IT group.
• Coordinate with requestors to obtain the proper information, documentation, and approvals.
• Monitor progress and status of tickets submitted.
• Facilitate follow-up communications, as necessary to ensure completion of requests.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal business units necessary for the administration of data systems.
• Actively works with the D&C group to assess IT program needs and requirements.
• Identifies opportunities and recommendations to improve system utilization and functionality. Requirements : Candidate shall possess 4 years of full-time professional experience in the field of Computer Aided Design and Drafting applications. Must be able to perform daily monitoring and maintenance of software and workstations in the following related areas : Network, Server, Storage, systems management, IT customer support and training Computer installations, diagnosis, and repair Computer security, database administration Maintenance information technology Provide translation of electronics files from various consultant formats to Micro-Station format. Provide training and refresher updates and assist users in the performance of their routine drafting tasks. A.G.
