Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Group Fitness Instructor- Institutional Student Worker, on the Dahlonega Campus. Group Fitness Instructors are responsible for leading multiple group fitness classes that range in variety and levels, including counting, cueing, organizing, and choreography. Campus Recreation and Wellness offers a healthy and friendly work environment that is able to accommodate student schedules. A chosen candidate will be a knowledgeable, energetic student interested in promoting fitness on campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide group workouts to varying age and skill range for participants in small and large group settings, including counting, cueing, organizing, and choreography.
• Maintain group fitness equipment, rooms, and storage areas.
• Wear Campus Recreation and Wellness attire and a name tag while on duty or representing the department at events.
• Implement university and recreation facility rules and procedures.
• Assist with special events, as requested by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and to be able to communicate effectively with their peers, University employees and possibly, community agencies.
