THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to join our dedicated team at Clarks Summit State Hospital. As part of our team, you will provide crucial psychiatric, behavioral, and mental health treatment to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness at our inpatient psychiatric facility. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of psychiatric consumers, including those with complex and chronic illnesses. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and identifying any factors that may impact a person's mental health, such as family history, trauma, and environment influence. In addition, you will have the authority to order and interpret various medical tests and procedures to provide effective treatment and improve overall mental health. This role allows you to work independently under the guidance of a collaborating psychiatrist, providing valuable care to those in need.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.

Possible evening, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibility
