American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Telemetry unit night shift position requiring a current LA or compact license and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a 12-bed hospital Telemetry unit
  • Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15
  • Every other weekend and holiday required
  • Floating to all inpatient units is required
  • Alaris pumps are utilized on the unit
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • May be required to participate as part of an emergency or relief team in the event of a hurricane or severe weather event
  • Must be prepared to stay at the facility during storms if assigned
  • Mandatory attendance during assigned holidays
  • Five-day orientation with required completion of facility modules
  • Must not have been employed as permanent staff or agency contractor in the health system for one year prior to travel assignment

  • Active LA or compact RN license in hand
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required for charge nurse roles
  • EKG / telemetry experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of telemetry experience preferred, but less is accepted
  • Must live more than 65 miles from the facility
