Garnet Health Medical Center is the only hospital in Orange County, NY, to earn Magnet redesignation for nursing excellence. This nonprofit medical center, located in Middletown, has more than 2,400 healthcare professionals, including more than 600 doctors who have privileges here. It serves a broad base of patients from the area. Previously known as Orange Regional Medical Center, Garnet Health Medical Center opened in 2011 and is a 383-bed facility.

Cardiac, Endo, general, ortho, labor and delivery, radiology, URO, vascular, GYN, ENT, neuro, and plastics.
Shifts
During the 26 weeks on, the MD will :
Provide 4 days of weekday Cardiac OR coverage until 5PMProvide 1 day of General OR coverage until 5PMProvide overnight weeknight and weekend beeper call for any Cardiac cases that emerge overnightTeam

Responsibilities
Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia DepartmentResponsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and / or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical proceduresPre-anesthesia assessmentObtains and / or verifies patient consentDiscuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient; induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesiaMonitoring of the patient's physiological conditionPerformance of clinical intervention as neededQualifications
M.D. / D.O. Degree from an accredited College of MedicineECFMG and FLEXCompletion of approved residency in anesthesiaCurrently licensed as a physicianTotal Rewards
