WIOA Program Assistant
The WIOA Program Assistant will support the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program by providing administrative, data entry, and client support services. Under the supervision of the WIOA Director, this position will provide front-line support to program participants and assist with intake and eligibility documentation; accurately enter and maintain client information in the WIOA data management system; assist case managers and program staff with scheduling, documentation, and reporting; maintain organized records and assist with monitoring preparation; communicate effectively with clients, employers, training providers, and partner agencies; support outreach, recruitment, and follow-up efforts as needed. The successful candidate is expected to have experience in an office, customer service, data entry, workforce development, or related setting as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications. Additionally, the candidate is expected to have a friendly demeanor, a strong work ethic especially in the areas of attendance and quality of work, and a desire to promote Wiregrass opportunities to the surrounding community. SALARY / BENEFITS
Salary is $32,000 / yr. This position is fulltime and includes standard State of GA benefits such as leave accrual, options for health and other supplemental benefits, and retirement. This position may qualify the successful candidate for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. This position is funded in whole or in part by Federal funds.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS
Pursuant to college policy, a thorough background investigation, including a criminal history records check and employment history reference checks will be performed for all candidates offered employment. Other checks such as Motor Vehicle Records may be conducted for any candidate receiving an offer, as well as internal candidates prior to being promoted or transferred into a position with the college. Other Required Tests : No additional tests are required for this position. Should a candidate be chosen for a 2nd interview, references which support prior work history and employment experience will be contacted.
