Prominent family law firm is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant with 3+ years of experience in Family Law and / or Civil Litigation. As a valuable member of the team, the successful candidate will be proactive in managing multiple work demands, taking ownership of the quality and timeliness of their work, and ensuring client and Firm confidentiality is maintained.
The responsibilities for this role include providing administrative support to one team, creating, formatting, proofreading, and editing legal documents, coordinating new client matter request packets, and facilitating conflict search processes. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to prepare retainer letters, transcribe dictation (such as letters, pleadings, and discovery), communicate on behalf of their attorneys, track and coordinate new client / matter information, arrange continuance of court hearings with the court and opposing counsel, and maintain and monitor attorney calendars.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have experience working with legal technology, including Office 365, Document Management Systems, and court filing computer systems. The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is essential.
