Print Specialist Assistant / Designer Assistant / Admin Administrator
Location : The UPS Store – North Hills locations (Wexford and McCandless)
Reports To : Business Development Director
About the Role
We’re looking for an assistant to our current Print Specialist / Designer, who’s equal parts creative thinker, problem solver, and customer service pro. In this role, you’ll work with our print team leader to be the go-to expert for all things print and design—helping customers turn their vision into polished, professional materials they’ll be proud to show off.
You will handle basic print projects, design business cards, invitations, banners, create fat heads, yard signs, and other projects our customers will request. Our print specialist will teach you how to use all of our print and finishing equipment; you just need an eagerness to learn!
We would love for you to be interested in business building by sharing with customers other projects that might fit their needs. Bonus if you are comfy talking to business owners about what our print shop can create to help their business grow.
- Create & Design : Use your design skills to create everything from flyers and postcards to large-format banners and signage.
- Collaborate with Customers : Work one-on-one with customers to understand their needs, offer creative solutions, and make their ideas shine.
- Print Like a Pro : Set up and produce print jobs using our production printer and finishing equipment (cutting, binding, laminating, etc.). Bonus if you have ever worked with Fiery.
- Keep Things Running Smoothly : Stay organized, manage multiple projects at once, and ensure each job meets our quality standards and deadlines.
- Pitch In as a Team Player : Help out in other areas of the store when needed—because at The UPS Store, teamwork makes everything better.
What We’re Looking For
Experience using Canva is a huge plus (We will collaborate on Canva to create everything from flyers and postcards to large-format banners and signage.)A creative eye and attention to detail—you know good design when you see it.Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop).Experience with or excited to learn all about print production and basic finishing equipment.Strong communication and customer service skills—you like helping people and it shows.The ability to juggle a few things at once and still keep your cool.A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.Bonus points if you have :
Experience in a print shop, copy center, or design studio.A portfolio or samples of your design work. (Birthday or Holiday Cards you created for friends work great.)A secret love for paper stocks, fonts, or perfect color matches.Perks & Benefits
