Title : Assembler / Production Associate

Type : Temp to hire

Pay : $18 / hour

Shift : 1st shift (7am-3 : 30pm); OT required at certain points

Position Summary :

This position is essential to production, ensuring continuous output of quality products. The Assembler / Production Associate is responsible for performing various tasks related to the production of company products to meet established quality and manufacturing standards.

Qualifications :

  • Assembly experience required
  • Experience using measurement devices, primarily tape measures and calipers, a plus
  • Strong work ethic with good hand eye coordination, possessing attention to detail with a sense of urgency to continually improve performance.
  • Team player, ability to work collaboratively and treat others with respect.
  • Good attendance and is accountable for work efficiency and quality of work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Follow router, work instructions and blueprints to fabricate components, or fit and assemble components to complete final assembly of filter elements.
  • Performs work following standardized procedures, achieving or exceeding production standards.
  • As required use various operations, machines, equipment, materials and hand tools to fabricate, assemble or cure products.
  • Listen and follow directions from Team Trainer, Team Lead and Supervisor.
  • Read and understand drawings and design documents. To fit and assemble components accurately and thoroughly per drawing requirements.
  • Scan on & off of processes, accurately document all materials and labor hours required per router, and complete all additional paperwork as needed. Assures that router is closed when elements are complete.
  • Monitor work to ensure quality and look for ways to improve and promote quality. Make suggestions for improving work processes, procedures, capabilities, etc.
  • Use equipment and materials properly while observing safety and security procedures.
  • Adheres to safety rules at all times, wears proper PPE required for task being performed and follows all Company policies.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment at all times.
  • Performs general labor tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Education / Experience :

  • High School or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able or the ability to be trained to read tape measures; precision measuring equipment (height gage, calipers) is required.
  • Basic Math is required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Language Skills : English fluent.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :

    None required, welding is a plus.

    Physical Requirements :

  • Standing / walking 20%, sitting 80%.
  • Pushing carts throughout machine shop.
  • Able to Lift / Carry up to 40-lbs.
  • Able to walk / maneuver between assigned equipment.
  • Good eyesight to be able to read small print and technical drawings.
  • W ork Schedule :

  • Ability to work shift schedule, five (5) eight-hour shifts or four (4) ten-hour shifts. With overtime as required by production schedule.
