Email Marketing Operations Specialist
High-growth startup seeking an email marketing operations specialist to architect our cross-platform email ecosystem and drive account signup optimization. This role reports directly to CEO / CMO with extensive cross-functional collaboration. The challenge : Coordinate email touchpoints across community platform, LMS, points system, mobile app, and ecommerce store while optimizing conversion funnels and preventing email conflicts.
Blend of the strategic with execution (50 / 50)
The upfront will be more building out the strategy, followed by this person executing on their strategy. There needs to be data-driven decisions. Analytical mindset. LMS, community, web and mobile that will all have lifecycle marketing impacts. Someone has to take the time to think about the entry point.
Key Responsibilities
Email Strategy & Cross-Platform Orchestration (55%)
Architect unified email experiences across multiple SaaS platforms (Bettermode, LMS, mobile app, ecommerce)
Create seamless user journeys preventing email conflicts across all touchpoints
Develop sophisticated suppression and frequency coordination strategies
Ensure brand consistency across platforms you don't fully control
Design abandoned cart, browse abandonment, and post-purchase sequences
Conversion & Growth Strategy (40%)
Own account signup optimization and list growth strategy
Design progressive profiling frameworks for enhanced targeting without friction
Optimize signup flows, landing pages, and onboarding sequences
Execute growth experiments and A / B tests across acquisition funnel
Implement and optimize conversion tools like Privy
Technical Infrastructure & Operations (10%)
Evaluate current MailChimp setup and potential platform migrations
Manage APIs, webhooks, and data flows across platforms
Collaborate with content, product, and engineering teams
Strategic Marketing Growth (5%)
Influence broader marketing strategy based on email insights
Take on additional marketing initiatives as you demonstrate value
Requirements
Must-Have Experience (6-8+ years) :
Cross-platform email coordination across multiple SaaS systems
Conversion optimization with proven signup and funnel results
Progressive profiling strategy and data architecture thinking
Marketing operations with technical systems integration
Scale experience managing 25K+ subscriber programs
Core Technical Must-Haves :
HTML / CSS fluency for email development and troubleshooting
Email client testing and QA across devices and platforms
API and webhook management for cross-platform coordination
Google Analytics and conversion tracking
Email deliverability expertise (sender reputation, authentication)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
