Job Title : Paving Foreman

Location : Hillsborough, NJ, with travel to projects

Salary Range : $90,000 – $115,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Overview

SkillForce is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paving Foreman to lead daily paving operations on behalf of our client in Hillsborough, NJ. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating equipment and materials, and ensuring all paving activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Paving Foreman Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of paving projects, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality

Communicate goals, schedules, and expectations clearly to crew members

Assign tasks and supervise all field personnel involved in paving operations

Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and vendors to meet deadlines and budget goals

Operate and oversee use of paving equipment including pavers, rollers, and millers

Maintain accurate records of crew hours, materials used, and project milestones

Enforce job site safety regulations and lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment

Identify and resolve issues that may impact schedules or quality

Mentor and train crew members on best practices, equipment use, and company policies

Paving Foreman Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Paving Foreman or in a similar supervisory role

Strong working knowledge of paving techniques and heavy equipment operation

Proven ability to lead crews and communicate effectively with teams and supervisors

Excellent attention to detail with strong time and resource management skills

Ability to interpret project drawings and specifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices

Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

Valid Driver’s License required
