Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Preoperative Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 24 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Title : Registered Nurse – Pre-Operative (Nursing) Location : Atlanta, GA 30342 Shift : 8-hour Days (5 : 30 AM – 2 : 00 PM) – 40 per week Contract Length : 13 weeks Local Candidate Rule : No locals within 50 miles Requirements Experience : Minimum 2 years in Pre-Op nursing Certifications Required : BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NIHSS (Stroke Certification) Specialty Skills : MUST have Neuro & Thoracic experience Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive pre-operative care for patients, ensuring readiness for surgery. Conduct assessments, verify consents, and prepare patients for operative procedures. Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams. Monitor and document patient status, vitals, and labs prior to procedures. Manage patients with complex neuro and thoracic surgical needs . Educate patients and families about procedures and post-op expectations. Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and accreditation standards.
